Does HIPS replace our incident reporting system?
It can, or it can sit beside it. Many hospitals upload their existing export each month instead of entering incidents twice.
Can other hospitals see our rates?
No. Peers only ever see group results, and a group needs at least five hospitals.
What if we report an incident after the month is sent?
Late reports are handled so benchmarks stay accurate. The exact process is being finalized with our pilot hospitals.
Where do the staffing numbers come from?
We pre-fill them from public hospital data. You confirm or correct them once a year.
