How it works
Use the data you already collect. Get benchmarks back.
Most occupational health teams are one or two people. HIPS is built so the monthly work takes minutes, not days.
Three ways to get your data in
Report in HIPS
Staff report an injury by form, or by speaking on the mobile app. HIPS asks follow-up questions until the report is complete.
Upload your export
Already use an incident system or a spreadsheet? Upload the export. Map your local terms to HIPS codes once, and every later upload uses the same mapping.
Connect by API
Larger systems can send incidents directly from their existing software.
The monthly cycle
- All monthIncidents are recorded on your network.
- Day 1HIPS checks every record for required fields and valid codes, and lists anything missing.
- ReviewYour manager sees the de-identified package: counts by injury type and any free text flagged for removal.
- ApproveOne click signs and sends it. The month is then locked.
- Next morningYour rates and peer benchmarks are updated.
What you need
- Your staffing counts (full-time equivalents), confirmed once a year. We pre-fill them from public hospital data.
- A server or virtual machine on your network for the incident app, or our hosted option.
- About an hour to map your local terms the first time.
Start with your own numbers.
